• A form of Totalitarian Democracy as a centralized “Council”. Denizens are given the right to vote for people of the council, but cannot take them from power. The council is given absolute power as part of an electocracy and upholds the integrity of the state. The council consists of 7 members, never having more or less, and each controls a particular jurisdiction of the government’s powers. Whether it be resource management, the military, foreign affairs, or economical distribution / treasury.

Why do you want to be the Lord of this province?

• Since I have the diamond rank and someone needs to technically be the ruler, and being the one who remembered to do stuff like this, I thought I should start as its Lord and if need be, transfer it to a different council member.

What is the background and/or history of your province? (Linking to Google Docs is acceptable, the more detail and relation to existing lore the better!)

• Generations ago, Akheron was nothing. No trace of it was found, it simply didn’t exist. Akheron was a new country, created by a group of exiles from a country in the South. They shed their names, they shed their glory, all in pursuit of a new future, one that would build and bring light in a shadowed world.
• Centuries later, the now present Akheron stands as a bastion to the darkness that lies outside its walls. A place that seeks virtue and truth. Shrouded in the darkness of the outside world, Akheron may look radical, ambitious, and mad. Seemingly led by ruined kings and queens settling for a lower place than royalty.
• Akheron, led by its Council of seven, rules its lands with the interest of the people, their protection, and the integrity of a country. Seven of nobility, zero donning crown. A king is worthless if he can neither fight nor lead without the metal on his head, for he is not worthy of the burdens he must carry.

Any extra information/things you'd like to add?

• Even though we would like to take Aeloen, we would like to rename ourselves as “Akheron”, hence our governmental title, “The Council of Akheron”.
• Akheron pronunciation: a·kuh·ron
• The name Akheron comes from the Greek river of misery and woe, one of the five rivers of Hades. Akheron is the river which Charon, the psychopomp, brings the dead across to the Underworld, the realm of Hades where they will spend eternity, be it in Tartarus, the abyssal prison, the Asphodel Meadow, the realm of neutrality, or the Fields of Elysium, the isle of the blessed. Hence, any who cross our paths will wade through the waters of grief and misfortune, and those found worthy will be brought across into a land of peace and fortune, lest they fall into the deepest prison.
